The pool table area seemed to be surrounded by either straight men with their women or hustlers I wasn't quite sure. The crowd was very thin for a Saturday night in the dining room with a few more in the bar area. The menu is also very limited and no desserts are available. I thought I would die of thirst before he came back. That said, the waiter though very friendly was slow to respond and after we got our meals took a very long time to check on us.
#Cathedral station gay bar boston mac
The mac and cheese was huge and quite tasty as well. The burger was very good and a bit different with the sliced apple. We then moved onto the to a Vermont burger for me and the mac& cheese with bacon/chicken for my partner. Many people from the old team have joined in on making this place a warm place. After the only Gay Sports Bar in Boston closed it's doors in January of 2014, a group of people got together to open a place for those who lost their home away from home. We started out with an order of Nachos that though they were a bit overcooked still tasted delicious. Specialties: Cathedral Station is a Sports Bar and Pub catering to Boston's South End neighborhood and the LGBT community. I could have drove to it and parked on the street but I did not want to do that and felt better with the car in the garage. The Station is really a bit out of the way and I was not completely comfortable walking from where we parked in the downtown crossing area to the establishment - about 25 minutes. My partner and I headed into town on Saturday night and thought we would try somewhere we had not been previously.
